Ilion Free Public Library

I love this library! The staff is great. They are friendly and helpful. My kids enjoy the kid programs. I only wished it opened at nine, instead of ten am. I love that the library is open till 8pm, on certain days. I have been to a lot of libraries. This one is the best library. :).

It is nice and clean. It's very organized. They kid's section is fantastic. They have a great book selection. I wish the patrons would have a little more respect for others using the library. They need to know they are not the only ones there. My sin was being tutored in the back room today, and this older man and some boy just walked in and sat down and started having a conversation. Even after telling them what was going on they still stayed and didn't care.

Have to pay for printing, no card acceptance. Small complaint, makes sense since surrounding areas also charge. Very nice building

The Library is well operated on a shoe string budget. Where else in a public Library can you have up to date new books, classics, children’s by all major authors. They have printed and audio books plus DVDs with movies, tv, and documentaries. Included in the library is a great selection of reference materials, including computers to help with online information and so much more. They offer wonderful children and adult programs throughout each month that is published monthly on their calendar. They also have a large selection tools that can be borrowed the same as a book. The Staff does a Wonderful keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently.

My girls and I love this library! The girls love the play area, where you can find books ages 2+, chapter books for older children, there is computers for the kids, tables to sit, read and play at! We love this library 😊
