Ike's Love & Sandwiches

It was long time since I had this place on my list. I finally tried it. I was excited and had checked the menu before going. I was disappointed to see they had most of what I had seen online except the one I was looking for. Anyhow >> I tried the 301. It was made quickly. When I came home and had it was warm enough. There were good toppings but I would have liked a little bit more. Overall good sandwich - will definitely try the other vegan sandwiches

I was excited to see that there was an Ike's opening in Fremont, as I have just always had to go to the San Jose one. I finally gave this spot a try and the staff are all super welcoming and friendly. I received my sandwich fairly quickly, despite them having a huge catering order. My usual is the Menage a Trois, and the sandwich was delicious.

I really enjoy Ike's sandwiches, though it is disappointing that at this location there is no bacon, as my favorite kind of sandwich is with turkey and bacon. The veggie bacon is *not* the same. Because it's located in a very busy shopping center, especially at dinner time, it can be difficult to find parking, and there is not 'takeout' parking reserved except two curbside spots that are pretty difficult to use. Food is made really quickly and tastes very fresh. The dirty sauce is good on everything my family has tried. The bread is also very good, I like the sourdough. The prices are a touch higher at this location as all the meat is certified Halal. Also, I know to be completely true to Halal, this location does not serve pork, and while I respect that, I really do miss bacon. Also, the

Ordered the Phantom Dutch sandwich but they didn't make it with the purple bread, just regular white Dutch bread. Disappointed too with the small amount of vegan turkey slices, it was overwhelmed by the veggies. It was like a veggie sandwich Featuring a few slices of turkey. A double order would balance it out but that's extra money. And I tipped for this! Will I go back? Probably for something I've already tried and enjoyed but I can't recommend the vegan turkey. And do check if they used the real phantom bread before leaving the store!
