Ikeja Food & Bakery

We visited today by chance. I saw the sign that read oxtails on flat bread and said to myself and to my partner, “Gotta check that out!” We entered a clean well designed establishment. The young lady at the counter greeted us as we walked in, she was very nice, very funny too. Each time I said oh that sounds good she responded, “you want me to add that?” 🤣 Quite the saleswoman! 🙂 We settled on the oxtail dinner platter to share for lunch. The rice was amazing perfectly seasoned as was the steamed cabbage, honestly as much as I loved the oxtails, the cabbage was my favorite part! I got the shrimp Rasta pasta and beef suya. Suya was well seasoned but a little dry. Presentation on the suya and amount of meat was horrible but was flavorful. Shrimp RP was ok. Seasoned pretty well but nothing to rave about. Spent almost $40 for the two. Worth the try but ehhh

The Oxtail Combo was flavorful and tender—perfectly seasoned with delicious rice and beans. The Cajun Salmon Wrap was fresh and packed with flavor. Everything tasted homemade and satisfying. Great portions, great flavor—I’ll definitely be back to Ikeja Bakery and Food!

The cleanest and neatest restaurant in Irvington and environs. Listen!! Their Jollof rice is the absolute best. Trust me. Trust this review from a repeat customer. Their bread is spot on like the ones we eat back home in Nigeria. The Jollof rice 100%. Their Rasta pasta is out of this world, Juicy and very delicious. The quantity is HUGE! No, I wasn’t paid for this review. It’s facts!! Their chinchin is like the one my mom used to make when I was growing up. I really don’t give reviews but I had to. Listen! Just go try their food , one time!! You will be hooked like me. Customer service is very good. Friendly staff. Friendly atmosphere.thank you Samaya! I almost didn’t want to leave. I waited 30 minutes for pancakes & pasta, the bakery was completely empty besides myself. After finally 25 minutes I got my pasta but then they told me 5 more minutes on my pancakes only for them to call me over and say they don’t have the right flour to make the pancakes so they’re going to just refund me. On top of that there were plenty of customers who came in after me and they all only waited about 10 minutes for the same things I ordered. Other than that the pasta was good.
