Ida's Cupcake Cafe, Redmond

We chose Ida's for a custom smash cake, a dozen classic and dozen mini cupcakes for my son's first birthday. We had one good experience with them a year ago. $95 later, we have a cake that was messed up but smudged off and redone, cake/cupcakes that were dry and frosting that seemed overly sweet and stale- for lack of a better word. The communication between the workers is discombobulated and lacking at times. They are nice 95% of the time, though. Many things get lost between coworkers ("oh, that was my coworker." "Let me ask my coworker.") I was clear what I wanted to multiple people. For $95, I expected to be satisfied. I thought the frosting on the cupcakes wouldn't look half hazardly done. I'm visiting from Illinois, so it's my first time here. I stopped to pick up dessert when visiting family. This is a cute little shop with seating. Beautifully made cupcakes with amazing flavors. The cupcakes are put together when you order. So you pick your flavor of cake, then your flavor of icing. It was fun. I highly recommend the lemon flavors. The guys that waited on me were fantastic. Not only did they do an amazing job putting together my order, but because I walk with a cane and I wasn't sure if I could carry everything without dropping it, one gentleman carried my items to my vehicle, even though I was over a block away. Now that's service! This is a place I would come to often if I lived here.

I was so pleased with the beautiful gluten-free special order birthday cake for my mother's 90th birthday! I had to pick it up several days before the day we were serving it, and it was as if it was fresh that day! The service, the attention to detail, and the deliciousness of the cake were all fantastic! I'll be back!

Spectacular cupcakes AND spectacular service! We ordered dairy-free cupcakes for my daughter's birthday celebration, and I was highly impressed with the care they took to make sure even the little details were dairy-free. Such a relief after several other businesses didn't take food intolerances seriously recently! The cupcakes were superior in taste to anything I've made at home (and that's saying something!) Extremely happy first time customer here. We'll be back. 🙂 (And I'll get a better photo next time.) 😉

Delicious! They were busy for Valentine’s Day, but gave excellent customer service! Next time I will pre-order, but this time I ordered a few of the gourmet cupcakes they had left. They are beautiful and delicious! The cream cheese frosting is my favorite
