Ice Cream Man

Swung in for some ice cream and it was delicious! They have a good variety and a great selection of local flavors. Unfortunately they were out of cones during our visit, but we still ended up with heaping cups, so all good.

Been wanting to hit this place up when in Eagle River, mainly due to the name. Ice Cream Man was not the Man. Service was friendly enough, however I watched as the scooper moved ice cream around that the frost inside the cooler would chip and fall into the ice cream?! Then she grabbed the ice chucks off the top with her bare hands, however she did put gloves on to make change? Very confused. Ice cream tasted freezer burnt, but not a surprise when I noticed the condition of the place.

Nothing like local flavors blended into your favorite dessert, and Ice Cream Man does not disappoint!! The flavors of local blueberries, honey and fireweed are so refreshing in the ice cream served here!! Definitely coming back for more…

Nice little ice cream shop. The flavors are great and many incorporate local Alaskan ingredients. I enjoyed the Honey and Fireweed and will be back for more.

Got the Huckleberry cheesecake in a waffle cone and it was so delicious. The server gave me a generous scoop. My son’s so got the rainbow sherbert and he loved it. I also love that they have a dairy free option.
