I got attracted by their sign posted on the window which reads " train 🚂 bento" in the first place. Finally today I got a chance to try their food. I ordered " grilled pork chop with house railroad sauce" and fell in love with the delicious taste of the pork chop. The flavor reminds me of the authentic Taiwanese pork chop I had long time ago while living in Taiwan. I'm very happy and thankful that such a good, authentic taste can be found outside of Taiwan, and it's in Cupertino, CA. I will come back for more and highly recommend 👍
Got the #9 teriyaki set Meat taste kind of grainy like it was frozen? Not sure why but not the best this was def the most disappointing part of the meal. For the price the quality of meat should be way higher. It kind of taste like cardboard after the flavor of the sauce goes away. The whole reason I wrote a review is cause of the disappointing meat Rice is ok but could be better it taste like it wasn’t made fresh (for reference I went around 1:45 on a Saturday afternoon) Shrimp is a little mushy so I’m pretty sure it was frozen or just isn’t the best quality flavor of the batter is good and it’s crispy but the texture of the shrimp is a little off Fishball and gyoza was fine but I wish the gyoza was a little crispier (I can’t really fault them for this since I didn’t eat the bento unt
This place has a great interior. Small, not meant to be a sit down place. Geared toward take-out. I got their chicken teriyaki bento box. First of all it looks stunning. I wish it tasted as good. The edamame salad was great. But the chicken was very dry and tasted like it had been cooked/reheated multiple times. Also the prices are a lot. I would have snapped a pic, if my battery didn't die inside the restaurant. This costed $10.95. So don't go by the Yelp prices anymore. Definitely $$. Overall, great ambience, food left something to be desired. Probably won't be back.
Me and my friend were hungry so we found this spot. Family owned restaurant with many bentos to choose from. Great place for a quick bite and the only downside is they don’t have a restroom. Other than that, the place was good.
Feels more Japanese than Taiwanese in terms of available options. A bit disappointed about that, otherwise decent bento box that amounts to $18 per box
