I can't recall his name but it was a young man who was working the closing shift on Tuesday the 12th of August, name started with a Z but he gave us AMAZING customer service. Super patient and very friendly, he made the experience anxiety free and even enjoyable. The bakery items are ALWAYS delicious, without fail. Just ordered a birthday cake for my 21st and I can't wait to pick it up! Would highly recommend making a visit for events or just a sweet treat. 10/10
I have a severe gluten intolerance, and as such, needed to have a gluten free cake option for our wedding. Not only did HyVee have a gluten free cake option, but they were also by far the most cost efficient. Bonus #2: the gluten free cake was also one of the best I have ever had. We ended up doing a small tiered gluten free cake and a couple regular (not gluten free) sheet cakes. We heard lots of great things from our guests about the cake, and are continuing to enjoy the leftovers.
I highly recommend the Manhattan Hyvee bakery! The staff is always so accomodating and kind. I asked for a "Where the Wild Things Are" themed cake for my son's 1st birthday and the cake they made far exceeded my expectations! Definitely will always go with them in the future!
I had a very specific wedding cake design in mind and they did an amazing job matching it. The design included chocolate dipped strawberries and it looked and tasted great. We also ordered vegan cupcakes for a few of our guests which were a huge hit as they don't usually get dessert at events like this. We had way too much sheet cake for the number of guests able to come, but everyone said it tasted great!
Worth the trip, even if you are a Dillon's regular. Wider open, less fluff, and better selection in some areas like brand-name ice-cream and better beef prices. Deli has distinctly better pizza with more cheese and real Italian sausage. If you drive a diesel, worth it to have a fuel card.
