Hwy 55 is a true hidden gem in Helena – a fantastic retro diner that’s hard to beat! The food is top-notch: juicy cheesesteaks, crispy tasty tots, fresh burgers, and fries that always satisfy. Everything’s super clean, with a fun, nostalgic vibe with classic 1950s decorations that transport you back to the “olden times.” Our servers Hailey and Tristan were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better! The frozen custard desserts are out of this world – especially the shakes and malts! A must-visit spot. 5 stars!

This is an adorable little place to eat. My son spotted it from the car on top! The service was phenomenal. Food was great, super fast! Kids meals come with an adorable car. Floats, shakes, custard ! So happy we stopped in here on our way through :) worth the stop !

We were traveling and looked up places to eat. We saw this place and had to go there. What a fun place! The food was very good. Service was good and the staff was very nice. I had a cheeseburger off the a la carte menu. My husband had the cheesesteak and said it was amazing. You definitely need to stop here.

Highway 55 is absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor — classic diner vibes done right. The burgers were perfectly cooked, the shakes were thick and delicious, and everything came out fast. A huge shoutout to Hailey, our server — she went above and beyond! Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. You can tell she really cares about her customers. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere, Highway 55 is the spot. Highly recommend asking for Hailey when you go!
