Hungry Dutchman Café

We went here for lunch and shops after visiting the Windmill Island Gardens. We both ordered the Saucijzebroodjes at the Hungry Dutchman Cafe. My husband is very picky on food. He wasn’t a big fan of the meal. But I like the pea soup with smoked sausages. The pig in blankets was kind of greasy for me. I also ordered a cup of cafe au lait to go with the apple pie; both were very good.

Dutch reuben and Erwtensoep are delicious. We were here for a snack- lunch. Really cozy place with water fountain outside the pub. Nice patio, clean and kind stuff. Thank you!

The staff was not very friendly. They were talking about us right after we ordered, just because we didn't want to order extra stuff and get what they wanted us to get. Also the prices were ridiculous! $6 for 4 tiny chicken strips that literally equaled that of maybe 2 chicken strips ANYWHERE else I've ever ate at. It looked like they took 2 regular sized chicken strips and cut them in half and then charging that was was insane. I wouldn't recommend.

Food was tasty, but average. Service was good. It was very noisy and not the cleanest.

I mean it's not ever gonna earn a Michelin star or anything, but for theme park cafeteria food I was really impressed. Great, unique selection of food. Everything tasted great.
