Hunchos Halal Spot

Clean spot with indoor seating available. I ordered a gyro which was a good size and a salad. They allow you to select the food within your salad. Also, I tried the chocolate cake and red velvet cake which was good.

This halal spot on Long Island is a hidden gem! I tried the fish and shrimp platter and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. You can really taste the freshness. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair for the quality. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Definitely my new go-to for halal seafood. Highly recommended!

I just purchased the 3 chicken $5 deal passing through. The chicken is so stale and flavorless and the man in the front of the store is SO rude. He completely ignored my presence and kept counting money and looking down for minutes on end. After patiently waiting for a while, i had to say him. Then he wouldn't let us order, he lept picking up the phone ignoring us, making us stand and wait there. When I asked if he could substitute simething, instead of saying no, sorry. He yells NO. Absolutely rude. Will not be back.

Ordered combo over rice that comes with fries and salad. I didn't get the salad but did add corn and red onions. I had them put white sauce, green sauce, hot sauce, and Hunchos sauce on it. It was amazing. Definitely the best halal food I've had in a while and there are a lot of good ones in the Nassau area. Go to Hunchos. It's open late.

I visited Huncho’s Halal Spot after seeing a video online, and decided to break our fast there with my family. At first, I was a bit unsure—there was a homeless person sitting at one of the tables—but he didn’t bother anyone and it didn’t affect our experience. The restaurant itself was very clean and well-kept, which made a good impression. We started our meal with the smash burger, which was freshly made and absolutely on point—tasted great! But the real star of the night was the fried chicken. Honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked fresh. Just amazing.
