Hunan Village

First of all, I might be more critical since I came from China and I have developed an acquire taste for authentic Chinese food. Overall I think Hunan Village is a good place to satisfy your cravings for Chinese food. Please note that Lunch Specials are very good deals since they are under ten dollars and come with an Egg Rolls and Fried Rice. It is even offered on weekends. Dragon & Phoenix was very expensive, it is basically half shrimp and vegetables with half of the General Tao’s Chicken. General Tao’s Chicken was actually pretty tasty. Imperial Chicken has a good amount of chicken and mixed vegetables. The chicken was very tender, but the whole dish was slightly bland for my taste. The most fantasticly delicious gourmet Chinese food I have eaten in Virginia. Perfectly seasoned and prepared.

We always got Egg Fu Yung. It was flavorful and enough to take home. We usually ate inside. On a to go order, it was ready when I got there and equally tasty. On credit card transactions there is a 3% surcharge, so best to pay cash, even if you have to stop at an ATM. Prices are reasonable for good quality food and ample servings. There is another Chinese place in town - not nearly as good. I highly recommend Hunan Village to satisfy your cravings for good Chinese food.

Food was excellent!! I had the sesame chicken and she had the sesame shrimp. Both done to perfection!! If empty plates can tell the story, then there you go!! Waitress was prompt and polite and kept everything perfect without hovering. We will be back. (Note: we had the lunch sized portions and still had some to take home. ).

Raw broccoli , tough chicken, stale fortune cookie 🤣 . Will not eat here ever again
