Hummus and Pita

Omg this place is the real deal. Their hummus is well done, the lamb kabobs is tender and delicious. The food hugs you! We had the kibbeh, shummus, date shake. Their falafels are fresh and is amazing, they are light and flaky. The owner was so welcoming and kind. The customer service is awesome. They get a 10/10.!!!

We found this thanks to TikTok. It was soooo good. The place and its decorations are super cute. Our group had: Gummus (spice gyro meat with hummus), Halloumi Sticks, Chicken Shawarma, Falafel, Arayes, and a date shake. We loved everything. My husband mentioned to the guy up front that if he had room at the end he was coming back for a date shake. When he eventually went back to order it there guy had it already made and said, "I knew you'd be back." Mind blown.

This spot is consistently good. With a scratch kitchen that makes everything to order, the food is fresh and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and is patient with new customers as they navigate the menu. We popped in for lunch and were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice fall weather. Their hummus is excellent. It is silky with an assortment lf toppings that provide different textures and pops of flavor. The beets babaganoush is a newer addition and it has a slightly sweet flavor, as opposed to it's slightly bitter counterpart. The falafel are just the right size and have a perfectly crunchy outside. The chicken kabob plate is hot and fresh and the sides are just right. The menu is ample and there is definitely something for everyone.

This is my go-to Mediterranean restaurant in Overland Park downtown! The location is perfect—I often stop by Hummus & Pita after city events like the farmers market, or before meeting friends for coffee at Homer’s or grabbing a drink at Strang Hall. If they opened just 30 minutes earlier, I’d love to bring my Aqua Zumba crew from Matt Ross Community Center on Wednesdays! The food is fresh, flavorful, and nutritionally excellent—it always leaves me feeling great. The owner, Dhiaa, is warm and welcoming; he makes you feel like you’ve known each other since childhood:D Located right in front of Thompson Park, it’s impossible to miss. Whether you’re vegetarian or a meat lover, I highly recommend this spot to everyone.

The staff were so nice and the food was just incredible. The food gives more of a home-cooked feel, and the portions and pricing leaves nothing else to be desired! The menu has plenty of options for any guest.
