Hummingbird Hill

Hummingbird Hill B&B is wonderful, beautiful, and enchanting. Chet is such a gracious host. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the view...magnificent. If you want to hear the history of this antique farmhouse he's happy to share, and if you want to be left alone, he'll do that to. The breakfast is so delicious and you overlook the lake, the trees, the mountains, and Chet's own 6 hole golf course, as you enjoy. The grounds are so peaceful and thoughtfully designed. There's a sandy beach waiting for you at the bottom of Hummingbird Hill. Grab a chair, and indulge in the quiet beauty of this spot. I highly recommend it and we'll go back.

We had a very nice stay at this bed and breakfast. We were in the area for a wedding that was held at a youth camp and we were not ready for bunk beds. Though most of our time over the couple of days were spent at the wedding location we were very happy with our accomodations at Hummingbird Hill. Chet the owner was friendly and easy to be around. He gave us info on the house and lake and made nice hearty breakfasts. The lake front had kayaks and tubes a beautiful location to relax if you have the time. Nice comfortable non pretentious place. Be aware that there is not good cell coverage in the area when driving to the Inn. Chet has wifi available in the Inn for guest use. Could use a street or Inn sign at the turn onto Center Lake Rd. ||We would stay there again in the future if in t

From the moment we arrive we are treated like family or good friends. Our hosts, Dee and Chet, are gracious, friendly and warm; we are immediately put at ease. This lovely, quaint farmhouse is beautifully decorated with many treasures. And each treasure has a story. Our bedroom is charming, comfortable and well equipped with a private bath, WiFi and television. The inviting living room-complete with oversized sofa and generous flatscreen television -is there for our convenience. The dining room, full of interesting artifacts holds its own narrative of days gone. We learn that this dwelling was once part of the Underground Railroad.
