Hug In A Mug Café

On New Year’s Day, trying to find someplace open for breakfast, we stumbled into Hug in a Mug Café and ended up meeting the owners, Barbara and Zach Raub. What a great surprise in tiny Weissport. The café’s part of a cooperative space with other small businesses, and their section is bright and welcoming, filled with big leafy plants, large windows, and the smell of great coffee. We felt relaxed the moment we walked in. We had egg and bacon breakfast sandwiches on sourdough, along with fresh pastries, Americanos, and lattes. Everything was excellent, fresh, thoughtfully made, and piping hot. If you’re anywhere near Weissport, we’d recommend Hug in a Mug Café any day of the week. It’s the kind of place you’re glad you stumbled into.

This is a hidden gem foreal! Food was amazing and coffee was delicious and trust me I’n not really a fan of much of the food in the area but it seems these hidden gems are where the best food and service is !! And the workers were amazing and talkative. My wife talked their ears offfff!!! And they were super nice giving her the time of day lol . Stop by here u wont regret it!

We have come here twice now and find the food and service excellent and the atmosphere is friendly. They have a great selection of baked goods and offer different styles of breakfast sandwiches. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!

My girlfriend and I went to hug in a mug cafe for our first time considering we’ve been to the gorge next door once and wanted to try something else. Customer service was very poor, not even a “hello”. They listened very well to what we ordered so that was nice. Went to a table to wait for our foods/drinks and we had to clean the table ourselves. My girlfriend ordered a strawberry & banana smoothie and it tasted like they just took yogurt and ice, & blended it together with some flavored syrup. But wait, it gets better. We ordered panini‘s with bacon, ham, cheese, etc on it- and we had raw bacon. Was a very hot sandwich (temperature wise) yet the bacon was completely and utterly raw. If you’re looking for a coffee shop that feels like a second home, this is it. The vibe is unbeatable, with gorgeous plants everywhere and a space I’m always proud to bring clients for a quick meeting or to work between appointments. The drinks are consistently delicious (the Betty White latte makes me smile every time), the food is amazing—especially the avocado toast—and it’s wonderfully kid-friendly. My kids love the hot chocolate, heart-shaped cookies, and games while I enjoy my coffee. The local goods for sale are perfect for housewarming or client gifts. Whether I’m working, meeting clients, or taking a break, this spot is my go-to.
