Hudson House River Inn

We went for the Food week lunch...$29.95 pp. The crab and corn chowder was delicious. Lobster Roll had an upcharge of $12, but was packed with lobster and my husband loved it. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Views are gorgeous. We did not stay in the hotel.

A wonderful place to visit and eat. Excellent food and service- Judy our server was the best. And if you want the best mixed drink in the world- Deborah - the “mixologist” is beyond 5 stars. She is a true master.

We went to the Hudson House River this weekend and had the three-course menu. We couldn’t have been more satisfied, the food was excellent. Sasha, who took care of us, was very friendly (which is rare these days, it’s not always easy to find someone with a smile on their face who makes you feel so welcome). We definitely want to come back again soon.

Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the Hudson. We tried the onion soup, which was excellent, and the burger was good, though not the best I’ve had. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The welcoming vibe and the view made it an enjoyable overall experience. I really enjoyed my time here.

Hotel: $350 a night (incl. fees) is way too much for what you get. We booked a river view room with a full bed. View was great, complementary breakfast was great — but the room itself was cramped, had lots of chipping paint on one windowsill, broken screens on the windows, a poorly mounted TV with cables hanging everywhere, a VERY creaky, flimsy bed, and worst of all, it was boiling hot with no way to adjust temperature. Around 85 degrees. We had to sleep with both windows open and the fan on, and it was 28 degrees outside.
