Hudson House

I have dined at Hudson House a few times and each time, the experience was wonderful. The appetizers and pasta are delicious. The dessert is decadent. The food presentation is artistic. Prosecco is flavorful and crisp. Great ambience, friendly staff, and inviting decor. The menu offers a choice of vegetarian dishes. Highly recommend.

From the entrance, you usually only see the bar area but inside you will see how spacious it is and how the decor, especially the wall moldings, adds an extra touch to the atmosphere. The service is amazing, the menu is delicious, and everything we tried was fantastic. I loved the mural with the view of Tappan Zee, such a beautiful detail. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and had a drink at the bar while waiting—my Manhattan was perfect. Everything, absolutely everything, is worth it: the service, the atmosphere, the food. It had been a while since my husband and I went out together on a Friday night, and we truly enjoyed our visit to Hudson House.

I ventured here on recommendation from a local bartender. It was a busy Christmas eve yet everyone I encountered made me feel at home. They made a place for me at the bar, including named introductions and happy greetings. I went with a recommendation from Israel the bartender and ordered his coquito and the pork chop. The chop was masterfully cooked, perfectly and evenly. And the coquito equally fantastic. I wish I had taken more photos but I was busy enjoying the moment. Landing here was by chance, and I plan to visit again!

Hudson House is a gem of a restaurant in the chic bohemian Nyack main district. Cuisine is excellent in taste and execution. Each dish is truly sublime in taste, fresh ingredients and beautifully plated. The waitstaff are a well organized team. Both pleasant, astute and efficient. We enjoyed - - Hearts of Romaine Caeser salad -White Anchovy Toast - Braised Hudson Valley Duck, cauliflower purée and kale - Gnocchi Bolognese The desserts are to die for!! I had a wonderful meal at the Hudson House. Matt greeted me as I walked in and made me feel welcomed. I had such a delicious meal—paccheri with tiger shrimp, too many to count, and fresh spinach with summer corn and basil. I finished up with an amazing Key Lime. Hudson House isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience worth savoring.
