Hudson Falls Free Library

The staff at the Hudson Falls Library are fantastic! They cannot do enough to make you feel welcomed. All of them work diligently to organize programs that appeal to a variety of interests and age groups. If you haven't had an opportunity to visit this gem in our community , you really must. You will not be disappointed!

OK...size doesn’t always matter. A ‘great’ library doesn’t have to be large. A great library provides an environment that is comfortable, inclusive, and empowering. A great library has a staff that is knowledgeable, eager to help, and supportive. A great library is a hub that inspires an elevated sense of community and belonging for all. The Hudson Falls Free Library is a GREAT library!

If you have kids, bring them to visit Miss Emily in the childrens department! She is lovely, helpful, and engaging, and her and her husband often run clubs for the community (even virtually during the pandemic!). They have an ever-increasing list of popular, new titles as well as all of the classics and reference books you could need. If they don't have something you need, they can order it! Very friendly and easy to use services, both in person and online!

One of my greatest discoveries as a child was reading. I lived in so many magical places because someone took the time to introduce me to the amazing world of books. What a disgrace that this wonderful librarian was let go because a sad and pathetic board of directors was too blind to recognize this woman's worth. Lucky is the new library that snatches her up.

Wow, I think Sarah Cordts is doing a great job. I have taken my children there to many of the activities and they are upbeat and well done. They invite the kids to dress up as different characters and read them books and sometimes dance along to music. I hope the community will give this library another chance. Sorry to hear about conflict in the past, but change is possible. Let's stay hopeful.
