H&R Block

This was my first experience with H&R Block, I've always done my taxes online myself in previous years. But unfortunately I needed the option of getting an advance this year so... I was already a little nervous walking in, entrusting someone else with my taxes, and then as soon as I sat down I could tell that my "tax professional" was both new to the job and not very good with computers. To top it all off, there was no one else there to help HER and answer all of her questions. As I was following along on the client screen, I realized she wasn't really sure of what she was doing and kept trying to offer my assistance (only because I was completely confident I knew the solution to the error she was making). I had to schedule appointment for weeks and when I arrived the tax preparer was not qualified to do my taxes because I run a small business. So they did part of my return and the next day I came back with a person who was certified. The second tax preparer did not account for all my income and did not put $30,000 in my income on my return. The document was uploaded to H&R Block, and they saw it afterwards. I found the mistake after filing so I will have to admend my return. Thankfully I paid the extra $40 for the Peace of Mind Insurance. I would not recommend this tax service under any circumstances.

I've usedthis company now for over 20 years. I have a very small farm in central Ky and use the long form each year in order to maximize my deductions. Every year it seems their fee goes up. I'm in their office for maybe 20 min, as my deductions and earnings are close to the same every year. This year they charged me $498.00. They use to have little incentive contests or coupons to discount their services a little. No more. Now only NEW customers get those according to the manger. Thanks Paul for all your return buisiness and loyalty...not. Wont be going back.
