Super cute new coffee shop in GV! I was pleased when I heard Howdy Honey had moved into this spot right off of the bustling Main Street. Staff was kind and helpful. I ordered an iced vanilla latte; it was delicious! House-made syrups and cozy vibes. Next time I go back I’ll be buying a sticker & trying their food. 😋
Had THE BEST experience here. I love hot coffee but they had an iced coffee that sounded delicious. I tasted one they made for my son and it was PERFECT… just iced. So I order a hot latte with 2 shots of mocha instead and was pleased as well. A few minutes later I went back and asked if they would be frustrated if I added some of their homemade simple syrup. They graciously encouraged me to add whatever I wanted, then a beautiful young lady behind the counter suggested adding their cinnamon salt, then maple syrup, all of which I was ready to try. As she saw my excitement she and her friend helping with their delicious creations asked if I would just like a new drink. This was not a ploy for more money, they were genuinely gracious and kind to a perfect stranger. The 2 ladies who ma
Howdy Honey ranks right up there with the best cortado I’ve had. The service is consistently outstanding—attentive, efficient, and friendly. My cortado paired with one of their sausage rolls, is a great treat. I got my sourdough starter, (Ester) here, and while she makes good bread at home, the bread at HH is noticeably better. I’m still working on improving Ester’s results. The cookies, biscuits, and specialty drinks are all outstanding as well. It’s my go to coffee shop/café/place to meet up, Howdy Honey is well worth seeking out. Once you try it, it’s likely to become your regular spot.
Howdy Honey coffee shop is darling, a little bit of Texas western themed decor. The barista was super bubbly and helpful when I walked through the door! Started to ask about the menu and top recommendations of drinks. The Capp I ordered with a little cinnamon and sage syrup was a perfectly sweet and balanced in taste. I was impressed they use Oak Cliff Roasters coffee! Really hope their shop lives on for years and years to come.
The menu said “fluffy scrambled eggs” and I was served dry, flat eggs that were cooked on a hot dirty grill. The chicken sausage was barely warm. The latte average. The service vibe was “annoyed.” Too bad. It’s a cute place, but IF I go back. I’ll just get a drip coffee and a baked good.
