The restaurant seems to be positioned as a fine-dining establishment, but the overall experience didn’t quite match that expectation. The ambience was fairly noisy, which made it difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal or conversation. For a place aiming at a fine-dine feel, the atmosphere could be more refined and comfortable. The food was okay — not bad, but not particularly outstanding either. While some dishes were decent, the flavors didn’t stand out as much as we had hoped. The menu was also quite complicated and difficult to understand, especially for first-time guests. Clearer descriptions or better guidance from staff would improve the experience significantly. This is a locally owned buisness. They have done a good job from ambiance of the place to the food. The drinks there are amazing and the food is great! Everyone there is so kinda, and the owners were also present and were super nice to talk to. I would definitely recommend this resturant for a nice night out with family or friends, they’ve done such an amazing job, it’s absolutely worth it!

We recently visited The House of Chettinad in Ronald reagan rd, Austin, which has newly opened, and overall it was a pleasant experience with a few drawbacks. We tried their thali, which was decent and felt authentic. However, non-veg items are not included and come at an additional cost. A small bowl of mutton sukka was priced at around $7 extra, which felt a bit steep for the portion size. The chicken chatti parotta, stuffed with curry, tasted very good and was flavorful. The veg biryani leaned more toward a home-style veg pulao—medium spicy and comforting, though not a traditional biryani. For appetizers, we ordered the karuveppilai melagu kozhi(chicken lollipops), which were excellent with a unique and enjoyable flavor. Great food, great ambience. Loved the fried cauliflowers and onion utappa. They have a nice bar section with screens for live sports. 2nd time i went there they served us stale chutney. I hope they change the process to make sure it doesn’t happen again 🙏🏼 I will change the review after they tell me they have made the change to the process 🙏🏼
