Hot Pho

Decided to try this place for dinner. The time we was there, it wasn't busy so food came out quick. I had pho. Pho wasn't bad but the broth is on the sweeter side. Banh mi was good. Wife seem to enjoy here sizzling dish. There's other dish we would like to try in the future.

The place had a nice atmosphere and the owner was super nice checking up on us. Our waitress was also very attentive. Their pho is on the sweeter side, so if you like that this is the place. I also enjoyed their milk tea. I would return to this restaurant again when I’m in the Hickory area.

I’m vietnamese, came here to celebrate lunar new year. This pho spot NAILED the authentic flavors. Fresh coconut water was perfectly sweet, wontons juicy and savory. Pork over rice was tender and balanced, while bun Bo Hue broth SMACKED. Highly authentic, I will be back soon!

Tried out Hot Pho the Monday after their grand opening, around 11am and were able to get in before the lunch rush. We ordered the Crab Pillows, Pho Dac Biet, one of the rice dishes, and Ca Phe Sua Da. The Crab Pillows were good. They came with 6pcs and were fried well, not greasy, and stayed crispy. The filling had more crab than cream cheese, so it's definitely more worthwhile. My parents ordered the rice dish. They said it was good but they preferred other places in town. The Pho was good and the portion was a decent size. You can see broth has some fat from the beef to it which provides a good flavor, but if you prefer a leaner broth it may not be for you. Stopped by to try their banh mi and rice plate! Pretty satisfied! Only thing missing from the rice plate was the fried tofu and meatballs I usually get from the other local restaurant 😅 other than that, Pretty good! Will definitely try the other items next time! *** Just be careful when including an egg roll with the banh mi combo, as I got the one with pork and shrimp ... some people are allergic to shrimp, so please confirm allergies or specify which kind of egg rolls you're including with the combo. I'm not allergic to shrimp but others are.
