I will be honest, I know how we (Costaricans) cook so I was sure it will be legit. First we live in Kissimmee the drive was well worth it. As we arrived the lady at the window extremely friendly and inviting, my mom quickly was chatting up with her. The young lady’s customer skills are phenomenal, very impressed. The food tasted so good beyond my expectations and it’s a good size portion. Definitely returning soon.
My grandson and I stopped here after shopping in Lowe's this evening intending to grab a snack. It turned into one of the best meals I have had since moving to Orlando. We had the Empanada Columbian, tamales, and Arroz Arragllado. It was all excellent. The fries with the empanada were some of the best I've ever had. The empanada was not what I expected and was amazing. The tamale was also very unexpected and good. For the record we took it home and I eventually added Melinda's hour sauce to mine.
I lived in Costa Rica for a bit when I was a young adult and fell in love with the food, language, and culture. I've not been back since I left or had Tico food since then until last week. Y'all. This food was so good it made me cry. Like, literally, cried my eyes out like a big baby because it tasted just like being back in San Jose. Just absolutely delicious and authentic, and I can't wait to go back.
Walked up and asked “what u recommend” she said “Empanadas Arreglada” I said okay. When I tell you it was the best thing I’ve eaten all year. Amazing. The fries and chimichurri that came with it were utterly amazing too.
Absolutely phenomenal! Been following them on IG for a bit now, but they were usually located in Oviedo. Noticed them at the Lowe's by Waterford Lakes and had to try. Married to a Costa Rican (half, but that counts), and having visited there several times before - it's the real deal. We had the Tripleta sandwich, salchipapa, and pork chifrijo. Sandwich was perfect. Salchipapa I would ask with sauce on the side next time, if it's for picky eaters, but it was amazing. The pork on the chifrijo was chicharon, which a few pieces were too fatty, but still great. Definitely going back to try more stuff!
