Customer Reviews
We went in January so dress warm. We got sleet and bitter winds BUT so worth it. Stunning views. Stunning. It's about a half mile walk on a dirt path down to the overlook. If you have physical handicaps this probably isn't the place for you.
I had always wanted to visit this place, and I’m so glad I finally made it. What an incredible natural phenomenon — truly breathtaking in every sense. Even catching a glimpse of it feels surreal and beyond amazing. One suggestion I would share is to try visiting during a less crowded time, as it can feel quite busy. That said, the experience is absolutely worth it regardless. I visited with MaxTour, and they were fantastic — well-organized, professional, and made the entire trip seamless and enjoyable.
Even though Horseshoe Bend is in The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the parking lot is managed by the City of Page. So our America The Beautiful pass (and any other national pass) is not accepted here. The City charges $10/car, $5/motorcycle. They do have restrooms at the parking lot. The walk (ADA compliant path) from the parking lot to Horseshoe Bend is 1.5 miles round trip.
Definitely need to stop paying if you're in the area or if you want to make a special trip. It is a beautiful site, especially in the morning with the sun rising and I'm sure it's just as beautiful in the evening with the sun setting. It was a little bit chilly this morning but still worth the little walk to the viewpoint but it's a very smooth trail.
Absolutely Breathtaking! Horseshoe Bend is one of those places that photos just can’t do justice — you have to see it in person to truly appreciate its beauty. The short walk from the parking area is well worth it, and once you reach the overlook, the view will leave you speechless. The colors of the Colorado River against the red rock cliffs are simply stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s a peaceful yet powerful place that really makes you stop and take in the moment. The area is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access for most visitors. If you’re ever in Page, Arizona, this is an absolute must-see! Pro tip: Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and give yourself time to just sit and enjoy the view — you won’t regret it.
