I've eaten here a lot over the years but it's been while because I lived out in West Virginia. I've moved back in the area and it's like what I remembered. Great home-cooked food. I got the deluxe breakfast and it was excellent. Glad to see that this place hasn't changed. Definitely recommend.

I have been stopping by this place ever since the early 1970s on my way to visit family in the Tidewater area. Haven't been down there that much over the past 20 or 30 years but this is exactly as I remember it. The food and the prices were great. The service was also really good. Plenty of parking!

I have been eating here semi regularly for about 4 years now. It is amazing both the food and the staff are top notch. I enjoy the home style meals they prepare or just a simple burger. Their milkshake is best in the area and my young daughter loves perusing the nick knacks. Honestly I find a few items to buy myself occasionally. The take home desserts are also delicious. I can't say it has always been perfect nothing is but on average this restaurant far exceeds the atmosphere and value of the chain gang. I even have family that insist to eat here everything to come to town from out of state to visit. I will continue to be a loyal support here.

Horne’s is one of the last of its kind, and it deserves every bit of support it can get. I stopped in for lunch and had the chop steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, onions, green beans, and iced tea, finished off with a slice of lemon meringue pie. I’ve been carrying a lot personally and professionally these past few weeks, and there was something about sitting down at Horne’s today that just made things right, at least for that moment.
