Great burgers and fries! Get the Hangover burger with Cosmic fries and you won't be disappointed! Servers were fast and friendly. Atmosphere was fun. They have specials and a happy hour as well with great prices. Located within walking distance to downtown Holland for shopping and taking in the quaint vibes of their downtown scene. Highly recommend!

You ever been to Holland? No. Not the country. Cause same. Anybody here Dutch? No. Not the country. Also same. So peep this. No. Not the marshmallow snacks everybody hates. Here goes. We got there fairly early, so there was ample space and it was quiet. Didn’t even have to wait for a seat. Had the pick of the litter. Red Carpet Treatment™️ Service was great! Very accommodating, funny, and put up with my BS. I know I’m not a fan of chain restaurant reviews. And sometimes I honestly forget if I’ve done any. I’m basing this solely on memory. And I have the memory of a soggy package. NOT a sealy posturepedic mattress. And I suppose if I want to get legally specific, this place might be a chain, but I have zero in my hometown. Anywho. Went in to dine on a Saturday night, was expecting it to be busy and it was. The food was okay, wasn’t many non meat options, went with a shrimp dish but it tasted fatty. Just asked for a side of French fries which were okay. Server and another employee were very nice about it. Was trying to relax but ended up finding gum underneath the table which my hand caressed while we were leaving and going into the booth. Made me loose my appetite…

Update 12/12/2025. I was really disappointed to learn that HopCat no longer makes their famous cheese sauce in-house. It’s now ordered from a mass-production facility, and unfortunately, the flavor just isn’t the same—it tastes artificial compared to what it used to be. I love coming to HopCat on Thursdays! They have an awesome happy hour from 3:00 to 5:30 PM where you can get a burger and any beer for just $9—such a great deal. Their cosmic fries are absolutely addicting; I could eat them every time! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I especially enjoy sitting outside on the patio with my dog—it’s a great spot to unwind. We really enjoyed our experience here! Our server Kate was really nice and helped us decide what to get. We loved the killer Mac and cheese and the grilled cheese. The atmosphere was great! Not too loud and comfortable. Thank you to Kate and Hopcat for a great experience!
