Hook's Bbq

I just spent $25 on potatoes and they 1. Forgot the sour cream, and 2. Forgot the bbq sauce. I LIVE OVER 20 MILES AWAY!!! I EVEN ASKED DID THEY PUT MY EXTRA SAUCE AND SPUR CREAM IN!!!

I ordered a cheese burger and fries, my fries were great, my burger was cold, it was like they took it out of the refrigerator and put my toppings on it and served it to me. I paid almost 13$ for a burger and fries I feed to my dogs because I could not eat it. Waste of money, and time. I went there because I was told they had the best burger in town, not true or my friends don't know what's good.

We had eaten here a few weeks back and everything was okay so when we came back into town I kinda wanted the large barbeque chicken plate again..Decided to have it again and the chicken had been reheated to an extremely hot temperature that when served it was steaming hot. When it finally cooled off the chicken was dry and rubbery. I could not even attempt to chew the skin which had the seasoning. It was completely inedible..The baked beans lacked favor except the pound of pork meat they had added.i am guessing had to get rid of days old meat so they added it to the beans. Hooks in Opp never been this bad. Didnt complain just brought it home to the family dog.

Good bbq. I wish I had gotten the sauce on the side. Okra was nice and crispy. The slaw was fresh. It’s not the greatest bbq I’ve had, but it was an enjoyable meal even though I took it back to my hotel to eat. The service was friendly and made sure I had plenty of napkins and utensils.

The BBQ was OK but the counter service was rotten. Not just to me but the young woman was just as dismissive to the customer behind me. I can only imagine that the employee was a family member. So 4 stars for the pork barbecue and sides minus one star for the stinky service.
