My wife and I ventured out on date night and decided to try this place out. First impression was great. The staff got us to a table immediately. The manager Nick made sure to give us a warm welcome. Our waitress was Bailey. She was very attentive and explained the menu very well. My wife ordered Seafood Cannelloi with a Margarita and I ordered Crab legs. The drink came fast and was delicious. Food came out timely and it was delicious. We even got a brownie Sunday for dessert. Bailey was absolutely amazing as a waitress and it was really cool that Nick walked around and checked on us several times too. 10/10 recommend and we definitely will come back.

Hook Line and Schooner is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant in West Village that we are proud to support. We had the pleasure of having our Valentine’s Dinner on Feb 14th. Although the chef was offering the lobster special, loaded seafood pasta and a lobster/crab boil, there was no pressure to order a pre-fix meal. Instead, by making a reservations, we were able to enjoy a complementary bottle of Wycliffe champagne. The She-Crab soup and broiled mussels were superb, along with the crab cake salad and fresh grilled salmon. Needless to say, we topped it off with the coconut cake. However, the icing on the cake was our sever: JAYA. Although it was extremely busy, JAYA took the time to personalize her service with each customer. I hate to write this review because Hook Line & Schooner has been on my list for years to check out. Based on the number of reviews and rating I was sure it would be winner. Let’s start with the good… Our wait staff was amazing! As far as food…the lemon pepper chicken wings were on point. And the dessert we had, strawberry cheesecake, was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was exactly as expected. Unfortunately the entrees…were average and below. Two of us tried the lobster roll. It’s a cold roll and we had only had warm rolls at other places. When we mentioned that we were told that they could do a warm roll. It’s the cold roll heated. It was edible but not what I expected. So just do it cold…hopefully that would have solved the issue. Another had the fish fry from the lunch menu.

Stopped by for the 1st time for lunch. Was not expecting such good food being in a strip. The staff were excellent. They only had Manhattan Chowder and l’m a New England style, but I must say it was excellent and I ordered a second cup. I wished the menu would state the source of the oysters and fish I.e sustainably. Bugbear excessive use of single-use plastic straws and source cups which trash the Gulf Coast and we end up consuming at restaurants.

I just left with my desserts. The young lady who suggested the raspberry cheesecake. It is delicious!!! Thank you so much! Highly recommend everyone go here. We have been coming here for years.
