Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

This was our first time ordering from here and it will definitely be our last! We only ordered chicken fried rice and egg rolls. The rice was neon orange and the chicken looked questionable. I cannot even confirm it was actually chicken. We took one bite of the rice (picked around the chicken of course) and spit it out immediately. It was horrible!

The owner is super nice, good people, good food. Please support local business.

Got the chicken fried rice it was yellow with pieces of brown chicken meat in it no vegetables nasty didn’t even look cooked.. got the bourbon chicken because somebody wrote up a good review about it it was brown chicken meat and soupy sauce could not eat it because the chicken look nasty.. Took the food back they gave me my money back.. they need to clean this place up number one and get a new menu and redesign the food otherwise they’re gonna be out of business quickly…. they use low-grade chicken pieces here no quality chicken..chicken scraps that’s why the chicken looks the way it does… chicken should be white meat.

I'm leaving this review mainly because I love Hong Kong's steamed and fried dumplings. I moved to Summerville 2 years ago after living in NY my whole life, and this is the only Chinese food restaurant I’ve found in Summerville that makes dumplings the same way they do up north. It seems everywhere else (at least in Summerville) makes pot stickers and calls them dumplings. Not the same at all. If you know you know. I do also enjoy the rest of the food on their menu, but shout out to Hong Kong for making New York style dumplings, something I've greatly missed since moving to Summerville. Also the employees are nice people and have only had good service in all of my experiences.

I've been coming here for years. Never had a messed up order. Food is always hot and looks delicious. Best egg rolls in the area for sure. Always get more than enough food. I refuse to get my Chinese from anywhere else local.
