For the price, the portion sizes were on the small side. The bao buns with chicken I ordered were a bit salty. I couldn’t taste anything beyond the overpowering hot sauce and that mystery sauce on top was salty as well. The sprinkle of lettuce wasn’t helping. It needed a balancing element for the heat, maybe a light cream sauce or arugula just to break up the taste. The corn bread tasted ok but it was soaked in honey on the top and the bottom so all you tasted was honey and it came wet. Me personally I prefer a more buttery cornbread with a slight drizzle of honey. The pimento mac n cheese was okay, wasn’t bad but wasn’t something to rave over either. Wonderful cozy restaurant with amazing food. You have to make a reservation because it is a very small establishment. The staff are wonderful and very sweet. I was apart of a party of 5 and they sat us. We ordered the fried okra and Nashville hot honey bao buns as appetizers. The bao buns only come with 4 but our server gave us 5 at no extra charge! The main meal we ordered the "party fowl" which for the price of $125 comes with 20 pieces of amazing mixed fried chicken and one of each side with all the sauces. We were blown away with how much food you get for the price. I used to live in RI for 2.5 years and was visiting, now this is my go to place for fried chicken. Legitimately the best fried chicken I've ever had. Everyone has to eat the amazing food here at least once. Thank you guys f

I have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened because you just can't get southern fried chicken in RI and Popeyes doesn't count... I was in the area and decided to pick some up for dinner on the way home. What a great idea!! I got the leg (2) and thigh (1) dinner and the chicken breast sandwich. With were just terrific! The texture of the breading was wonderful. Not soggy after the ride home, still just the right amount of crunch and flavored beautify. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The sandwich was a juicy and crunchy breast that, from the first bite, filled our mouths with flavor. The service was great! (Adult) Drinks were perfect. The fish sliders & cornbread were just 🥹🤤. You're supposed to pick a flavor and a sauce for the chicken, but I got mine plain. With that being said - although the chicken was crunchy and juicy, I could taste the flour in the batter. Next time I'll order it with a flavor/sauce to see if there's any difference. The pimento mac and cheese wasn't bad but I really loved the pulled pork baked beans! Yummy! There's a small parking area in the front but off to the side there is a lot with plenty of spaces.

As a southern transplant, this is the restaurant I needed to find. Collards? Great. Chicken? Great. Corn bread? Great. I'm really glad that we find this spot. The restaurant itself it pretty small, service is nice and fact, and the cocktails are delicious. It's definitely been on our rotation.
