Honey Bear Bake Co.

We were so pleasantly surprised at just how delicious this bakery was in this small town. It was 100 times worth the trip from out of town. The employees were very kind and patient as we looked around at everything. We tried an array of things, from their sandwiches, coffee, drinks, and baked goodies. I took pictures of some of the food. Not pictured were the bagel bombs and jalapeño bagels that we took to go. I will say the baked goods have the taste of New York quality and it being in the middle of nowhere where the traffic was easy and closer than New York was a win for us! It's a must go.

Ok this is a sweet little baking shop in the middle of Wauchula. They are considering bringing back donuts, if they can sell enough long term, would be a great alternative to existing donut shops in Wauchula. However, the food they do serve is really delicious. I'll include some photos at the end. All were really delicious, but I'll tell what we got and call out a couple for their outstanding taste and presentation. We tried jalapeno bagel. Roasted it at home. Wife loved it. Said could be one of the best she's ever had. We both tried French toast, cinnamon roll, and banana nut muffin. All extremely good. Several other things stood out: banana pound loaf, vanilla w/chocolate covering cannoli, chicken salad sandwich. Oh my goodness. Highly recommended on all of these. Lastly,

Just started coming here as a group for our church and I love it. The cookies taste so good and are just the right texture. They also have a variety of baked pastries and drinks. My personal favorite is the chocolate muffin. They also can re heat your food if you ask.

I really try. I have been going for awhile. Really like the atmosphere. But…. At this point they need to get with the program, one day I arrived at 7:15a (door says 6a) no one was there and everything was dark, no note on the door or anything. 3xs I’ve been here where there isn’t any money in the register at 7:25a when they “open” at 6a. EVERYONE moves so slow. When we stop on our way to work we want to grab and go. For me to have to wait 20+ minutes for a bagel that I don’t even want warmed up makes no sense at all (there was one person in front of me and only one person working)… and I understand it’s hard for just one person to do everything but even with multiple people working they move slow… Another day, had a blueberry muffin. First time here and really wanted to like it(I will give it another try later). I ordered cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cannoli and spinach feta danish(which I haven’t tried yet). Cinnamon rolls were very large but really no cinnamon taste. I’ve had better. The cannoli has a very weird taste (like mint maybe). My husband wouldn’t eat his. Had a cold drink, blue raspberry lime and coconut. Very refreshing. Young men who waited on me were very pleasant and patient. The inside is nicely painted. Maybe I will try a bagel or sandwich next time.
