Honey Bay's BBQ

I tried this place for the first time to kick off BHM and support local a black business and I do not regret it at all. I went on Soul food Sunday and was greeted by the wife of the owner who was very sweet and patient with me while I took forever to figure out what I wanted. After a few minutes I was also was given a sample bbq rib tip that were delicious! I I ordered the smothered wings that came with rice + gravy, and two sides (I got turkey collard greens and mac and cheese) with a cornbread. I also got an order of deep fried country rib tips with spicy bbq sauce on the side and let me tell you I WILL BE BACK. Everything was SO delicious and well prepared. 🔥 Hidden gem! Good soul food is hard to find, but this spot had me back twice in a month! The vibe is perfect — great music, friendly staff, and they even gave me samples. Everything’s made to order and finger-lickin’ good! Smothered pork chops, chicken, greens, yams, rice & gravy — all amazing. And don’t skip the fried okra! Just go!! 💯🍽️

Love, love, LOVE Honey Bay’s! The customer service is AMAZING — from the moment you place your order on the phone to when you’re walking out the door with your food. They truly make you feel taken care of. To start, the tips were sticky, savory, and absolutely delicious! The fries were perfect for dipping because trust me — they are not stingy with the sauce. There was plenty to go around! The greens were over the top — juicy and seasoned with the perfect amount of saltiness. Now… the banana pudding? 10/10. I don’t eat banana pudding often, but the times I have, nothing compares to Honey Bay’s. It was that good. Overall, this picture doesn’t do their food any justice. It’s an amazing spot that I would recommend to anyone looking for delicious BBQ!

If you're visiting from out of town, like me and you want some good old-fashioned soul food, please come visit Honey Bay's BBQ! I threw my diet out the window and wanted to eat something that would get my soul dancing and my stomach 😊 happy and this place did just that! I got Fried Pork Chops, Candy Yams, White Rice and Gravy and Mac & Cheese!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! Sooooo freaking delicious 😋

I am a sucker for GREAT BBQ and calling this food AMAZING is an understatement. First Let’s start with the exceptional customer service with a southern hospitality vibe which was so welcoming. The chef was awesome enough to let me taste test of few items and it was love at first bite. I ordered a half pan of ribs, (2) Lg Mac N Cheese, (2) Lg Candied Yams, (2) Collard Greens and the order came with cornbread and slices with of white bread to soak up all the juicy bbq flavors of the rib tips. This literally put me in a very happy food coma lol. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and consider myself a new regular/repeat customer. Im looking forward to trying to catfish dinner and jerk chicken for my next orders.
