Hometown Heros

Food was great and had a real personal and “hometown” atmosphere. Can tell they have their fair share of regulars and welcoming feel to the place. Prices are are very competitive and on the lower side compared to more modern places. Highly recommend their potato salad and chicken cutlet.

I had a pastrami sandwich and some cole slaw delivered from here. Wow. So good! And that's coming from a native NY-er who takes her pastrami very seriously. The coleslaw was tasty, too. Great presentation. Good-sized sandwich. I'll be ordering again. My only suggestion: Please seal the bags for delivery. Maybe staple them or something. (If you could have seen the way the courier handed me the bag....you'd get what I mean.)

I tried their specialy chicken hero club and every ingredient was fresh, high-quality, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and the meats and cheese were piled just right.
