*** BEST ONION RINGS EVER *** Don't judge this restaurant by its appearance. This building has weathered the hands of time, without a doubt. A lot of people I know would drive right by this gem and judge it by its appearance. I however, and not one of those people. This place has been churning out American cuisine since 1953. If a restaurant has been in business that long, at the same location, then they must be doing something right. The food was amazing! ALL the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Every single person working there, with the exception of the cook, stopped by my table to see how my food was and address any needs I may have had. Everything was pretty good except that frickin gravy. My God what is that stuff. A cup of flavorless white paste. I ordered sausage gravy. It had a table spoon of crumpled sausage floating on top. It was too bad to be a mix. Someone purposely created this sinister concoction. I loaded it with copious amounts of salt, black pepper and Cholula. Nothing helped. The flavors were absorbed, vanishing into the white abyss. So, just don’t order the cream gravy. The rest of the breakfast was decent. This is an Oklahoma oilfield town diner. A working man’s café. Apparently, it has been in operation for a number of years, judging from the volume of reviews. Some good some bad. The service seemed a little slow and disorganized. Incredible breakfast spot. Food and service were EXCELLENT. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy. Devine!!

Don’t waste your money on breakfast! Menu says “homemade gravy.” Only true if homemade gravy is made from powdered gravy base and add hot water. In this case…barely warm water. Pay more for a small spoon full of greasy sausage. Pancake tasted like raw flour and the butter wouldn’t even melt into the pancake because the pancake was almost raw. Plus all the brown spots on the outside of the pancake indicated that no one knows how to clean the grill before putting the pancake batter on it! You would think after waiting quite a long time for the meal (apparently the kitchen was short handed) it might be hot. Biscuits were cold. Egg was cold. And, when you don’t eat but one bite of biscuit and gravy and two bites of pancake someone might say…is there a problem? Nope! Nothing. And refilled the P

Okay let me start this review by saying the food was good. I just wished it was hotter when it came out for the time it took to get it to us. For breakfast 25 minutes seems long. I'm sure I would have given a higher rating had it not taken so long and we had cold eggs and hashbrowns. The only thing that seemed to be very hot at all was my chicken fry. Which that wasn't pipe and hot out of the fryer. We did go at 9:30 on a Saturday. Which probably was one problem and the other problem everybody's having is not enough workers because of Covid-19. In response to the owner's comment. It wasn't just the fact that the food was cold it was a really long time getting the food to us. I really don't understand why breakfast takes 25 minutes or more.
