Hubby and I went for breakfast yesterday. We got the usual, Trinity and queso. Always so fresh, flavor is always great, tortilla stuffed. I also got a paloma for later, did not disappoint in getting a little tipsy 🤭 The staff are nice, place is clean and inviting. Parking is kinda funky, we parked on the street, but that's not stopping us from going. Homestate never disappoints, depending on the area we live in we have gone to Homestate. We've been to the Highland Park, and Pasadena and now Playa Vista location and they never disappoint! 1000/10! If you haven't been to Homestate, please go, you will not regret it *hubby bought me flowers on the way home* My kind of Saturday morning breakfast. ❤️

You can’t miss with their breakfast burritos—all of them are delicious—but if you’ve never been here before, you’ll want more than one—they’re tiny! Chips and queso are always a crowd pleaser as well.

Have been looking for Texas/Austin-style breakfast tacos since moving to California 6 years ago. Happy to report that HomeState is the closest I’ve found! The Neches and Potato tacos were phenomenal, but I didn’t love the Chicken. Will probably stick just to the breakfast tacos next visit. The queso was good but a bit bland - could use a kick! The chips, potatoes, and homemade ranch were fantastic. Definitely recommend this spot, and this location in particular was very nice.

Very good tex Mex food. Frito pie was great. Good skinny margaritas. Definitely worth checking out.
