Homemade Taqueria Long Island City

4.5 Stars. I loved the place! Its in a quiet area, and the tacos were really darn good! And huge! Which is another good thing! I came with a friend, he ordered a burrito and it looked so good and big too! 😂 Price is very affordable! (👏👏👏) I totally recommend it for that day you’re craving a delicious mexican food! Plenty of sauces for you to choose and serve yourself. Bring a friend and enjoy the delicious food they gonna serve you! And spread kindness after your meal! This world needs more kind and love!!

I've been to this place so many times. The food is amazing and the service has always been amazing. But this week there has been a very weird vibe in this place. It's a strange atmosphere there now. I see some new people there, not sure if it's the owners or not. They are watching the staff like hawks. Never seen that here before. My review is based on the current environment. The staff and food is still perfect.

I can see the inconsistency in reviews here but our experience ordering was so good. One of the best Mexican meals we have had in NYC. Everything was fresh, well cooked and flavourful. Edit: 31st July: we initially gave a 5 star review but alas the second time we ordered was not so good- they forgot the Tajin for the corn which is not so good without it and furthermore the corn was so wet - leaking water. Also the strawberry drink was far too watery too - barely any flavour. Our experience was so different than just a few days ago.

Service is very quick and delicious. I enjoy this spot for late bites and their variety of drinks. I love how they use Oaxaca cheese for quesadillas and the handmade tortillas for tacos.

Dated 28 Jan 2025 I’d definitely recommend this restaurant if u wanna try authentic Mexican food with a reasonable price in the city. We enjoyed Combo 2 which basically includes taco, tostadas and quesadillas. The taste is on the next level. There are different kinds of sauce u can choose based on ur preference so we really enjoyed a lot. Plus, the owner is very nice and friendly and their homemade Cafe de olla is just amazing, I would say.✨✨
