Homemade Taqueria Jackson Heights

I used to go to the location in Astoria but have since moved to Jackson Heights and was excited that they had a location here. I remember everything being authentic and really tasty but they may have gone down in quality a bit. We ordered a bunch of items and some were okay some were a bit disappointing. The Al pastor picaditas were actually really tasty but it was delivered I a bit of a mess, so I had to reconstruct them. The pineapple and pork had good flavor though. The quesadilla was kind of a mess and weirdly put together with lettuce. The flavor (chicken tinga) was OKAY. The birria tacos were the most disappointing. This spot is so good. I recently went to CDMX and was craving Mexican food and found this joint, decided to give it a try cause of the name, who doesn’t enjoy homemade Mexican food? And honestly, I don’t regret it. Their Al Pastor Tacos taste SO MUCH like the tacos in CDMX and finding out the owners are from CDMX?! JACKPOT. Try the Al Pastor!!!

Recommended by my husband's colleague（Beautiful Mexican Lady）, we made a reservation and dined there as a group of five. She chose and ordered all the dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. My favorite was the cheese and beef nachos. The tacos were crispy and the best I've ever had.We would like to go back. They didn't accept custom orders for drinks (just changing the alcohol).That response was the only thing that disappointed us.

So delicious! Definitely authentic Mexican, loved the steak enchiladas and the steak tacos. The salsas were spicy and flavorful! Real authentic horchata! I am very pleased. I grew up on the border of Mexico 🇲🇽 so I know authentic Mexican food!!

Fantastic food- they make everything right in front of you on the street- I had a birria quesadilla that was awesome, and their sides are also delicious. Quick service and reasonable prices too!
