The Gooey Butter Cake was so good! What a rich, comforting flavor! Their ice cream is extra creamy. I got a mini-scoop on a sugar cone and it was plenty! They make their own waffle cones and bowls. The staff was wonderful! Tons of seats inside.

I have been meaning to write a review for HSC for ages because of not only their amaxing ice cream and service, but their amazing ownership. Woman/military owned, you’re supporting an awesome family who also in turn supports their community. My husband has celiac disease and has never had an issue with their items listed as gluten free. Salted Oreo is my favorite flavor! You won’t be disappointed!!! 🤍🤍🤍

This was delicious! The prices are fair and equal to other good creative ice cream shops, and my mom and I loved our flavors. We sampled a few, and they were all really good without tasting too sweet, or frothy, or anything else. I wouldn't say they're as creative or unique like Black Cat Ice Cream, but still very delicious. The service was great and the inside had plenty of seating. My pic is of a blackberry oreo flavor (if I remember right), and you get a lot of cone options. I will definitely be back to get a sweet treat fix here in WDM. I kind of wish there was outdoor seating, but I get that the building owner or whatever probably doesn't allow that, so it's outside their control.

Congratulations on the new location. This is by far my favorite ice cream around the Des Moines area. Reminds me a lot of the ice cream shop I worked at when I was younger. Fun flavors, perfect creamy texture and great portions.

Cannot recommend- the ice cream is okay, the staff does a decent job, but really its the way the ownership likes to kick people when they are down that just ruins my mood for ice cream. There are other options for ice cream that don't prioritize money over everything.
