My sister and I made reservation here for lunch. I really enjoyed the ambiance. The staff was attentive and nice. The bonchon consists of kimchi and potato salad. The kimchi had the right amount of spice and sour. The potato salad was good. It had corn in it and was on the sweeter side. There is a drink menu but we did not get any drinks this visit. We ordered the Truffle Potato Pancake as our appetizer. The presentation was great and the truffle sauce was good. The pancakes had a good crunch. There were 11 rectangular pieces with toppings of bacon+cheese+scallion. For our mains we ordered the HOJOK Galbi and the Galbi-jjim. HOJOK Galbi - Steak was cooked nicely and tender. It was effortless to eat. The peppers added a good kick to it. This comes with a salad on the side with some dre
Nice Korean spot in Manhattan. The food was flavorful and well presented. The noodles were fresh and light, the grilled meat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the spicy dish had a good kick. Portions were solid. Cozy atmosphere, good for dinner with friends or couples . Overall, worth trying.
Overall a nice dinner experience but a bit overwhelming with the flavors, especially for the Galbi and Beef Tartar. Came and was cold fast, lacked salt and seasoning, the salad portion seemed to have more flavoring on it. The rice was delicious. Drinks were not even worth trying, very flat and has too many flavors going on you barely taste any alcohol in it. For the price this was disappointing. Cute for a date night and to try it out but not sure if it’s worth returning to try something new.
Wow, if you’re looking for comfort, elevated Korean dishes, definitely come by for a try! I dined here solo but they made me feel some comfortable. The portions are big, especially the apps. So flavorful!
If you’re into rich, comforting Korean dishes with a modern twist, Hojokban delivers a flavorful experience worth trying. The vibe is cozy and relaxed enough for dinner with friends or a casual date, but elevated with thoughtful presentation and fresh, bold flavors. Huge thank you to Haven for guiding us through the menu - she absolutely nailed the recs. We tried the signature Hojok Galbi (tender and rich with juicy meat), the perfectly cooked Branzino, the crispy truffle potato pancakes, and the buckwheat noodles (PERILLA OIL NOODLE)! Each dish showcasing that balance of tradition and innovation. The tiramisu for dessert was incredibly delicious and the perfect finish to a standout meal. The menu blends Korean favorites with creative twists that keep every bite interesting, and the port
