Hogg Pitt BBQ

Got the 3 meat plate. We chose pulled pork, tri tip and ribs with greens and beans on the side. At $38 it was a little pricey but I understand meat is expensive. The 4 ribs were very good. Tri tip was a bit flavorless but was good with bbq sauce (not theirs though, had to thrown it away). The pulled pork kind of tasted like it was fresh out of the pig pen. Definitely moist and tender but had a little funky to the flavor. Beans were absolutely delicious and the greens were so/so. Overall great service. Cant comment much on atmosphere as it was close to closing time. Was happy to have tried someplace new and wish them much success!

When it comes to BBQ, my expectations are always high. If it be ribs, tri tip, pulled pork, or brisket. My wife was treating the family and wanted a tri tip sandwich. Our go to shop was closed and this spot immediately came to mind. Made the order, picked it up and headed home. Didn't know what the experience would be like until I took a piece out the sandwich and chucked it in my mouth. My taste buds were really enjoying the full, seasoned and smokey flavor. I must say, I never had a tri tip sandwich where they chopped the meat. Not bad at all. The whole family loved every bite. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The ribs are insanely good - we ordered a whole rack. The baked beans and potato salad were awesome. The gals running the place were sweet too! I’ve tried all of the other “real bbq” places in town and this place puts the others to shame. Go try it immediately!

Me and the wife went in today and got the rib tips and tri tip. Omg. Food was excellent. Tru tip was a little salty but fairly good. The Mac and cheese was fire and the potato salad was good. Owner gave us a peach cobbler on the house. We will definitely be back.

Hubby was in the mood for bar b q while running errands. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Service was great. I ordered tri tip, mac n cheese, potato salad. Hubby had chicken, tri tip, potato salad and baked beans. Also side order of fries. We both really liked our meat choices. The bar b q sauce was really good. The potato salad had too much vinegar or mustard for my liking. The mac n cheese was just ok. Hubby liked his beans and fries. A customer at the next table offered us some deep fried bacon and OMG it was so gooooood! The joint was busy. People eating and ordering more plates to go. The tables were full. It was nice and cold inside too, with some good music. We'd go back.
