The roast duck was extremely disappointing. It didn’t taste fresh at all, and the meat had almost no flavor—it felt like it hadn’t been properly marinated. The five-spice seasoning was barely noticeable, so the duck tasted bland and flat instead of rich and aromatic. The overall texture and taste were just bad. Honestly, it was one of the worst roast duck dishes I’ve had. I would not recommend it.
We bad attitude. We ordered a peiking duck they gave us the roasted duck and charged us the regular peiking duck price. We went to the restaurant and ask for refund. The lady mentioned the one we received is the peiking duck but officially is not. Plus they are not willing to do a refund for us. The roasted duck is long around $30 weeks are over charged. I have attached the photo of it do you guys think this is the peiking duck.
Can’t speak for the whole menu, but this place hands down has the best roast duck in the area. Yes, it’s even better than the roast duck at Sam Woo on Valley and 6th…and this is coming from someone who has had duck from Sam Woo for over 30 years. Juicier, tender, consistent quality. Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance. Give it a try.
We ordered the shrimp chow fun with egg and the shrimp was too salty, fishy tasting and had a sour aftertaste at the end. It seemed as though the shrimp was not fresh and on the verge of spoiling. The noodles had no wok hei despite being chow fun. After telling the staff about it, instead of preparing something else, they only gave a 5 dollar discount. The wonton noodles are nothing to write home about but the fried seafood noodles were okay. Afterwards the staff did give a plate of fruits and fortune cookies but it was still a disappointing dinner as the shrimp was rather unpleasant.
Disappointed. Found a hair when almost done eating, which is definitely ruined everything. The stir fry rice noodles is mediocre at best, and it supposed to be a very common Cantonese dish. The soy sauce combination tastes fine until I see the hair. BTW I like the soy beans idea (prevent food dipping in the sauce for too long and enhance the flavor at the same time) but with the price paid, it feels a little cheesy. I rarely rate a restaurant with only one try, but finding hair in food is definitely a stop sign. Parking and the interior decor might be the best/strongest suit about this place.
