Hinode is an absolute hidden gem tucked away on 9W in Piermont. From the outside, it may look like a simple house, but step inside, and you’ll discover one of the best sushi experiences around. I’ve been here four times now, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The sushi is incredibly fresh, beautifully executed, and thoughtfully prepared. Each piece feels like it’s made with care and intention, striking that perfect balance between tradition and creativity. Absolutely delicious! The hospitality is compared to none other. The 50 min drive is well worth it! The food is always fresh, everything tastes amazing. The attention you receive is like being at your favorite grandparents house, you feel love and attention. Every visit is a better experience. Thank you to everyone at Hinode for making my new found love for Sushi become a deep addiction.... especially for your food. Your fried Gyoza are crispy, flavorful, the tea is just right, the Tuna salad and the Tuna Love are my favorite!!!!!! Looking forward to getting to eat their whole menu lol.

A cozy and relaxing dining experience with authentic Japanese cuisine. What I enjoy most are the surprise complimentary appetizers that appear with sometime other later gratuitous treats. The entire staff including servers are genuinely welcoming. A small but relaxing ambiance. Enjoy the experience!

A wonderful experience for both dine in and carry out. Hinode has AMAZING sushi and food, as well as excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. I cannot recommend enough!!

Terrible quality and freshness of the fish. Tasted stale and bitter. Salad consisted of maybe 5 pieces of lettuce and miso soup was filled up a quarter of the way. After voicing the taste of the fish to the chef he gave the check charging for the foul tasting roll. Was weirdly expensive also. Gladly payed the bill however didn’t leave a tip for obvious reasons. Was followed outside and asked why no tip. Explained the issues and was scolded before the chef asked that I not return. Stay away from this sushi restaurant much better options in Nyack and Orangeburg.
