Himalayan Doko

We went for the first time. We heard a lot of good things of it and we were looking forward to expectation. As we entered the overall interior was good. I don’t know but there an unpleasant smell in atmosphere. We were dined in by our host and were given menu. We order Pani Puri for appetizers first. It was fresh and full of flavors. Mango lassi was great. We tried Goat curry Thali it was awesome but could have done better with presentation. The most disappointing was momos we heard good things from others so we ordered it. But it was like dumplings just missing soy sauce. It was chicken mono but smell like fish. But the flavors was good. And overall the service was good too.

A fantastic spot. Contains a delicious combination of Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese food. I would heavily recommend the Momo's (Dumplings). There are plenty of vegetarian options as well as meat based. Such a beautiful building in an otherwise downtown area of DC. Definitely come by here.

Although I got my order to go, the service was very friendly and the restaurant was warm and well decorated. Food was comforting, very tasty, but a tad sweet.

Ate best tadka dal with rice. Ate it as served, too hot to eat. Then, waited for five minutes. Oh goodness, tasted so much better. Also ate vegetables momo wit sauce, and they were good.

We were in Downtown DC for 3 days and everyday in the evening I picked up the food from Himalayan Doku and almost exhausted the Vegetarian Menu. Their portions are generous, the taste is delicious and above all the prices are very reasonable. A real Himalayan oasis in the bustling metro of DC and a shout out to the folks there. The atmosphere inside is also very convivial and service impeccable.
