1st October 2025 We are here again . We tried the veggy momo with Jhol and it was delicious and the best tasting food for me here. The Chana was tasty but spicy . May be will ask for less spicy . We tried the vegetarian thali with roti and it was great as well with simplistic taste . Chai as always good . 26th September 2025 Returned here for another dinner same week. We visit this place from time to time when missing food back home and it does not disappoint. Authentic Nepali taste, with a great balance of flavors and spiciness. It is one of the very few proper Nepali restaurants in Bergen county. A special shout-out to the staff as well who make you feel right at home. They are very friendly and welcoming. I must admit I have not tried most of the menu because I always end up ordering momo (if you are a Nepali, you know). However, the thali set and appetizers are pretty good too. If you are looking to taste authentic Nepali food in NJ, give this place a shot.

I've always been curious about Nepal food, and I had the chance to try it in this amaizing restaurant. Everything was delicious, very new taste I didn't have it in other cuisine. Pani puri is a must to try, amaizing side dish.

This Nepalese restaurant opened few months back, so cozy and authentic place. We have already been there multiple times within a month. The menu has so many of the popular local dishes like thali set, tandoori, momo, thenduk and thukpa. They also serve different beverages like tea and lassi. We ordered several different dishes from menu such as chicken momos, wings, goat thali and naan. The food was served within a short time. I so impressed with thali as it was presented just like how locals do. There was bowl of goat, that was absolutely tender and flavorful, a bowl of daal, a bowl of potato curry, and a bunch of pickle alongside rice and papad. Wings were delicious. Their veggie Thali had a sampling of some super tasty, filling, and nutritious curries. All served with a kindness and passion I have come to find throughout most Nepali restaurants but Himalaya On Heights has it all.
