Hilltop Pub & Grill

This place was okay. Super cute looking pub with an iconic entrance and exit through a giant barrel! Very nice server and quick service. The food itself was just okay and unfortunately none of the sandwiches come with sides. I thought the price of the sandwiches and not getting sides was over prices. I got the pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Brisket was cooked well, slightly smokey, but the flavor was underwhelming. The pulled pork sandwich bun was bland and the pulled pork was decently flavorful and smoky. The parking lot was very difficult to get in and out of safely

Overall the food was really good. The only thing we didn’t like is that the steak wasn’t seasoned at all. The Mac n cheese bites were great, highly recommend those.

The service was great. They recommended items and were bet quick and attentive. My fries were like warm and the burger was just okay. The cheese curds had a heavy batter and "crust" around them making them more like a hush puppy than a cheese curd. The point beers were good though.

I’m Celiac and got the gluten free chicken sandwich. Was fantastic. Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options they provided. We also got a New York Strip, which was delicious. Will be back.

The atmosphere is great. The waitress was “above and beyond” fantastic! Amazing service. I would have given the food a 5 star, but I struggled with the fish. I had walleye fillets. The fillets were fried, SKIN and all. I am not a fan of eating the skin of a walleye. Being kind, I didn’t relay this to the waitress because she was great and I didn’t want to ruin her mood. The cheese curds were really good. The spinach dip was really good. I hate to leave a negative review, but don’t order the walleye unless you wanna eat fried fish skin. It wasn’t fried long enough to cook the skin well either, it just made it moist and slimy. It made it taste like I grabbed it out of the river and took a bite out of the side of it. $18.99 and the French fries and coleslaw was all I ate of the p
