Hillside Public Library

Building needs some upgrades. Hearing cracking noise from the ceiling nonstop, no heat in the library during the winter, it's supposed to be warm to study in here. When you're coming, make sure you dress warm.

It's a decent library. However, the lady who picks up the phone is not only not helpful but also is not kind. Every time I call (about requesting a book through interlibrary loans or things related to library), she tries her best not to help with any questions you ask by brushing things off.

Wonderfully inviting children's section and staff. We visited this library as a part of a homeschool group and the librarian, Ms. Stephanie is very welcoming and accommodating. Ms. Stephanie organized a story time as well as a scavenger hunt so that the children could become more familiar with the library. This was a great experience and will be back to explore more of what this branch has to offer.

Went on 5/2/23 at 2:00pm. Wonderful space, great resource for young people and adults. Could use an area for people to talk amongst one another and convene. Had an odd experience with the librarian at the circulation desk. Asked a question and she was immediately irritated, unsure why her response was this way but it made me feel unwelcome. I doubt I would go back but I am grateful that I got to see it. Also really dislike the library sharing a building with law enforcement and municipal government facilities.

Been going there for 17 years I was always in there all everyday and the workers are always awesome
