This is my go-to spot whenever I’m craving fresh sushi near Fullerton. The quality of the fish is consistently excellent, but the uni (sea urchin) is the real standout—it’s incredibly fresh and sweet. If you're an uni lover, this is definitely the place to go. Great variety of rolls and the staff are always welcoming. Highly recommended!
Wow! From the moment we walked into Higo Sushi, we were treated like family. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Luis, and he went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Instead of ordering off the menu, he took charge and brought out an incredible wave of dishes, ranging from Peruvian specialties to fresh sushi, both warm and cold. The tasting menu he curated for us was nothing short of amazing—we didn’t want it to end! One of the standout dishes was the seared sea bass; it was cooked to perfection, buttery, and full of flavor. The sushi? Huge and absolutely delicious! On top of the fantastic food, the staff was incredible—funny, welcoming, and super attentive. They made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. First thing you will notice is the extremely kind staff. Very polite and lovely for a casual dinner date. It is seasonal but I recommend their Spanish Mackerel and sweet shrimp. They will serve as sushi , but will not waste the body parts! They offer to lightly deep fry and enjoy everything. Their Seabream sushi and lomo Saltado is a hidden gem. Highly recommend! My favorite place since leaving orange county!
Very deep menu for a small room, and very well prepared sushi and rolls. Worth trying and returning to find your favorites.
This was our first time to Higo Sushi and Peruvian. Our experience was outstanding to say the least. We arrived just after 5:30pm and were seated promptly outside in the patio area. The hostess was extremely accommodating and set up two standing heaters next to our table since it was pretty chilly out. Shortly after we were greeted by the most friendly waitress that took our drink order. When she returned she immediately took our food order. Service and food quality was nothing short of exceptional. The plating on all our orders looked great as well. You can tell the chef took time when it came to the presentation of the food. All in all we were very pleased with our experience at Higo. We will definitely be coming back in the very near future!
