Hidden Waters Restaurant

We had buffet day after Thanksgiving this year. The food was not good. The catfish was chewy, the chicken rice dish was dry & tasteless. The roast beef or beef stew dish vegetables were not done. The food was warm at best. The desserts were blah, nothing spectacular. We won't be back.

We visited during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the food was delicious - especially regional specialties like the Kentucky hot brown and the fried green tomatoes. Service was friendly and fast! Beautiful setting.

As always, a big fan of the state park system. They have eliminated a few items from the buffet, but it's still a good meal. They also serve alcohol now for those interested. Sorry, forgot a picture of the dessert table!

Great place to eat with plenty of options and good pricing on everything. Also the best service.

Our group of 5 ate for roughly $75. Incredibly limited main selection with only about 9 options for food, and a limited salad bar. We found a menu online with significantly more options, so our expectations were not met. Dessert was apple pie and lemon cake, the former of which was so bland it tasted almost bitter, and the latter was just satisfactory. It should be mentioned that every member of our party found at least one dirty plate in the stack of clean plates. $15 dollars for buffet, $8 for just soup and salad. The price does not justify the food in my opinion. One of our party members has a pickier palette and found the limited selection problematic at best, but the flavor of the main entrees and salad bar aren't bad at all, but nothing standout.
