Hickory Tavern

OMG the Power bowl is so awesome!!! My husband said the chicken tenders are some of the best tenders he has ever had and he's 72 years old. We can't wait to come back. We live in Bolivia NC so it's a little ride but so worth it!!!! ❤️

It's a great spot for an evening out. Good crowd of people and it was busy. Both good signs. Large open concept. Food was good. The Menu had enough options to find something you'll like. The server we had was very good. She handled a large group of people by herself. NICE JOB to her! Overall this is a solid 4. Would recommend them as well as we'll be returning.

Decided to stop by the Hickory Tavern to watch the game while having a few drinks. Great place and environment for game day. They even have a few drink specials that change daily. Even a happy hour. Huge selections of beer, draft and bottle. Excellent bartenders to handle even your special requests. There’s even an enclosed outdoor area. Found the waitress to be very friendly and respectful. We had a few drafts and a large nachos that was delicious. Huge facility equipped for large groups. We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

We’re transient cruisers and came here to watch the Steelers-Browns game while docked nearby. Getting there a little later than planned, the bar was already full and most of the tables were taken. The hostess cleared a table herself to position us close to TVs with the game we wanted to watch. Laura, our server, took good care of us despite the crowd. She was not only Southern style friendly, but proactive in her recommendations and making sure our glasses were never empty. The Reuben and tots made my husband happy, and my Tavern Salad with bacon honey mustard accompanied by a cup of crab soup were delicious! We would come back if we stay in this area again.

This afternoon we came in and had appetizers. It was my fiance, our son and myself. We got the wings, kids cheese flatbread and loaded Mac and cheese bites. The food was awesome as always. The service was excellent. Hallie was so sweet and so attentive. And she was entertaining. She was definitely one of the best servers we have had on the beach. Definitely be back.
