Hickman’s Smokehouse and the Scone Lady

My husband and I recently had breakfast at Hickman's Smokehouse and were thoroughly impressed. We had a lovely conversation with the owner and her son (she owns this place with her husband). The food is made by these 3 people on site and they take a great deal of care with it. The portions were huge and everything was fresh and delicious. But can we talk about this ham? I might have embarrassed myself going on and on about how good this ham was. Now I like ham. I would have ham for breakfast every day if I could, so I've sampled a lot of ham. This ham is, by far and away, the best ham I have ever had in my nearly 5 decades on this earth. Do yourself a favor, and stop at Hickman's next time you go through Cole Camp. Get the ham. You won't be sorry.

I most recently lived in Dallas, Texas. Hickman's smokehouse can run with the big dogs in that area. Rack of ribs had a perfect amount of tug, beautifully seasoned and the perfect amount of moisture. The bark on the ribs -- nothing less than majestic. No pictures of the food this time, but I'll be back for sure.

Always friendly and excellent food, every time ! I love the brisket quesadillas! Scones are very delicious no matter what flavor you choose!

By far the best scones I have ever had. Such a sweet, welcoming family owned business. A must try!

Love love love their scones. We come from STL for them. Fresh right out of the oven. It's a must when you are in Cole Camp.
