Hibachi Express Nokomis

This was our first time here. My wife and I stopped for dinner on our way back home to Sarasota. So warming and clean. Staff was friendly and offered us to view the menu. Food was quick to come out of kitchen and hot. Great portions for the price overall. I ordered the 3 meat hibachi ( chicken steak shrimp) I didn’t get a lot of steak and shrimp compared to chicken, but was so delicious. We will be back :)

We picked up hibachi to-go from Hibachi Express in Nokomis (note: they don’t serve beer or plum wine). We ordered the steak and scallop hibachi plus an eel roll and pork gyoza — overall a very satisfying meal. The scallops were the star: tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were also spot-on, nicely charred and seasoned. The steak was a little tougher than I’d hoped and the rice was pretty plain, but those were minor quibbles in an otherwise tasty and convenient takeout experience. Friendly place and great when you’re in the neighborhood — I’d happily give it another try.

Absolutely I was standing establishment. It is super delicious. It is fresh. It is a clean restaurant and just superior food. The shrimp dish alone they give you so much shrimp. It’s unbelievable. This is my second visit here and I absolutely love this food. I definitely will be back and I definitely highly recommend it.

5 of us (3 adults and two teenagers that eat more then adults) had a platter. 10 regular rolls and 3 specialty. We got spicy tuna, California, salmon, tuna, crazy tuna…I can’t remember the others. Every single roll was amazing! This entire platter fed all of us plus we had about a roll and a half left over!! It was about $75. Will be getting more food from here!

We kept up our New Year’s Eve tradition by eating hibachi. The food was hot and delicious and the portions were generous. The service was excellent and we loved the clean and updated atmosphere.
